After living in Japan for three years, Michael and I are moving back to the US - New York City, specifically. In the process of moving back, we decided to take some time between Tokyo and New York to travel. This is the one opportunity in our lives when we can take vacation without having worrying about the work waiting on our desks back at home - we are finishing up work in Japan and won't have yet started in New York.
This blog will document our travels over eights weeks from our departure from Tokyo on November 4, 2011 through our arrival in New York in January 2012. Our official itinerary is:
